Agents for freight forwarding and logistics organise shipment, dispatch, and sometimes storage of consignment, they supervise the co-operation of all agents of the logistics chain: shippers, freight and transport companies, warehouse operators, insurance companies and end customers. They advise and support customers as to the choice of suitable means of transportation and packaging. They calculate costs, submit offers, prepare contracts and deal with insurance cover.
